Your time has come
We are thrilled to welcome you to The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center’s Hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Clinic. Your journey to better understanding and managing your condition is very important to us, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it. Thank you for your patience and trust as we embark on this path together.

As one of the first Hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome clinics in the world, we have many years of experience in evaluating and treating patients with hypermobility disorders. Because of the complexities of a hypermobile-body, a comprehensive evaluation and lifetime treatment plan is needed. Our team has successfully helped many patients return back to normal lives.
We are also experts in other systems that also may be an issue in those with hypermobile bodies. Recognizing and treating dysautonomia, mast cell disorders, orthopedic and neurologic conditions is important. A problem in one system can surely affect others.
How the process works
Once your appointment is confirmed, our medical team will review your file to determine if our services are the right fit for your needs. If your case is accepted, your initial visit will be a televisit with one of our Nurse Practitioners (NP). During this consultation, the NP will review your medical history, discuss your treatment goals, and outline the next steps.
As part of your evaluation, we will order the FIT Panel metabolic review (blood work) and the FIT GPS (Genomics Performance Screen) metabolic genetic testing. The FIT GPS test is included in the visit cost. This visit may be eligible for insurance reimbursement.
Initial medical evaluation (E/M 99205 – $534.80)
Your
Your next step is a comprehensive metabolic evaluation, which will provide a detailed review of both your FIT Metabolic Panel (blood work) and FIT GPS (Genomics Performance Screen) genetic test results. This evaluation is designed to assess key metabolic markers, identify potential imbalances, and offer personalized insights into your body’s unique biochemical and genetic profile.
During this visit, our medical team will analyze how your metabolic function and genetic predispositions may be influencing your symptoms, overall health, and treatment outcomes. We will discuss any abnormalities, nutritional deficiencies, or imbalances and create a customized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. If supplementation is recommended, we can formulate personalized supplements based on your metabolic profile to optimize your health and improve your symptoms.
Since this is a medical consultation, you may submit this visit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider in advance to understand coverage options for lab testing and medical evaluations.
Metabolic review (E/M 99215 – $472.70)
An in-person evaluation is a crucial step in assessing the extent of your physical challenges. During this visit, you will undergo a comprehensive physical examination to determine whether you meet the criteria for hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS) or if you may have another hypermobility spectrum disorder or connective tissue condition. Be prepared for a thorough assessment, which will include multiple joint measurements, flexibility testing, and postural evaluations to accurately assess your connective tissue function.
Based on the findings from your examination, we will order a detailed imaging evaluation, which may include MRIs, X-rays, or other diagnostic tests to assess joint stability, soft tissue integrity, and potential structural concerns. These imaging studies are tailored specifically to hypermobile patients, ensuring that subtle but significant irregularities are identified.
Insurance may cover the imaging evaluation, and our preferred imaging partners, who specialize in hypermobility-related findings, will often handle the prior authorization process on your behalf.
Additionally, this visit may be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We recommend confirming coverage details with your provider prior to your appointment.
Fascial evaluation (E/M 99215 – $472.70)
During this televisit, our team will carefully review your imaging results, identifying any potential irregularities that may be contributing to your symptoms. We will walk you through the findings, pointing out anatomical abnormalities and discussing their significance in the context of hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS). Based on these findings, we will outline a personalized treatment plan for you to implement.
It is uncommon for hypermobile patients to have completely “normal” or “unremarkable” imaging. Fortunately, we collaborate with expert radiologists who specialize in hypermobility and EDS, ensuring that even subtle but clinically significant findings are recognized. Additionally, our team has reviewed thousands of X-rays and MRIs, making us highly skilled at detecting abnormal patterns that may be overlooked in standard imaging interpretations.
This visit may be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your coverage options.
Musculoskeletal imaging review (E/M 99215 – $472.70)
During your physician evaluation, Dr. Courseault, our Medical Director, will personally review your case with you. By integrating findings from your medical history, metabolic evaluation, imaging results, and physical examination, Dr. Courseault will confirm your diagnosis and refine your treatment plan to ensure a comprehensive and individualized approach to your care.
While this step completes your initial evaluation and treatment plan, we understand that this is just the beginning of your journey toward improved function and well-being.
At this visit, if appropriate, you may have the opportunity to undergo a Hydrofascial Release treatment or schedule a more in-depth Fascial Mapping program. These advanced treatments, designed specifically for hypermobile and connective tissue patients, are available exclusively at The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center.
This visit may be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We encourage you to check with your provider regarding coverage options.
