The Seed Has Been Planted

Similar to planting a new plant, you have just planted a seed towards a new life. For you to blossom, it will take nurturing, some pruning, patience and maintenance.

Next Steps

Thank you for making an appointment request at the Tulane Hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Clinic. We can’t wait to meet you!

At this time, we have a 12-24-month backlog of appointment requests. We are working to expedite the process.

We will contact you within a few months of an appointment availability to get more specific information about your medical history. Please keep a close eye on your email for clinic updates and information.

We cannot answer questions about the clinic, provide advice before seeing you or schedule you an earlier appointment as we have limited staff. However, keep an eye out for emails from our clinic, and follow our Facebook page and blog.

We know it’s a lot, and this is why we developed this clinic to both take care of you, but to also educate you about Hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos syndromes. Each patient has a different course; therefore, there is no general checklist that applies to every patient. Here are the major checkpoints of the program:

  • Keep an eye out for phone calls related to scheduling your initial visit.

  • Prepare to fill out your New Patient Intake form. Collect any medical records that you will need this to fill out your form accurately. This can take time, so start as soon as you can.

Please be patient with the process. We are improving every day and our team is growing! We will meet you soon.

SUPPORT THE TULANE EDS RESEARCH FUND

Research on hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes is far behind other medical diagnoses. It takes the voice of the patient and the support of the community to fund research projects that will allow increased awareness, development of diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment protocols.
